Just take a look how word подводить changes-подвёл, подводивший(you cannot drop под~ out of it) and the language is so tricky that seemingly close word подвода would have entirely different meaning. russian doesn`t lack the exact words, it`s not true. the word fail can be translated as провалить, проиграть, упустить and half a dozen more words to serve in place of fail depending largely on the context. I believe you got the impression, cause russian `s rich in synonyms and shades. it`s too intricate. you`ll better have the disscusion about it with russians)) there are plenty of them in the net. hope you`ll find some clever kid and not some stupid pompous jackass.
